Giancarlo Vigiani started working for Autostrade, Italian main motorway operator, in 1990. In 1997 he participated to the start-up of Autostrade Telecomunicazioni (ATLC), one of the first Italian Other Licensed Operators coming from the spin-off of Autostrade Telecommunication department. In 2003 ATLC was acquired by Infracom, later Infracom Network Application.

Giancarlo Vigiani is responsible for network planning and engineering, previously being involved also in the pre-sales process. He has been the Project Manager for the design and implementation of Infracom national DWDM/SDH backbone network, IP/MPLS backbone network, distribution and access network on motorways and main cities.
