John Ash  holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering; he is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the IEE. John held a number of senior roles in Engineering Management,  Business Planning and Strategy for optical transport, access and radio products, before taking up his current role as Head of Optical Networks Strategy with Ericsson’s Broadband Networks business. He is a regular contributor at conferences and has published many papers and articles on optical transport and related telecommunications topics.
